India, being one of the fastest-growing economies globally, is expected to have the world's largest working population by 2030. Higher purchasing power, improving social outcomes, and increasing domestic demand have contributed to its sustained growth — GDP growth is projected at 6.5% to 6.6% for FY2025-26 and 6.2% to 6.3% for FY2026-27, supported by a strong rebound to 8.0% in H1 FY2025-26. Over the last few years, supportive government reforms have aimed to transform India into a manufacturing hub for the world. With these factors, investing in India is a compelling option.
India has increased its global competitiveness by offering a 15% corporate tax rate to new manufacturing companies, which is among the lowest in the world. It has also reduced the tax rate for existing companies from 30% to 22%. The incentives encouraged many companies into setting up plants and has given a boost to the economy.

FDI inflows of US$81 billion in FY2024-25, up 14% YoY. Total FDI (inclusive of equity, capital, and re-invested earnings) rose further to US$50.4 billion in H1 FY2025-26, a 16% increase YoY.
Focus on making India a global manufacturing hub by implementing the Production Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme with a total outlay of US$26 billion across 14 key sectors. As of March 2025, the scheme has attracted ~US$21 billion in realized investments and generated over 12 lakh jobs.
Implementation of Goods and Services Tax in 2017 has subsumed various Indian indirect taxes and created a common market. GST collections hit a record US$257 billion in FY2024-25, with average monthly collections of ~US$21 billion — more than doubling from US$11 billion per month in FY2020-21, indicating strong economic momentum and a broadening tax base.
